Turin

Where we found our cycling friends

Friends and The National Car Museum

After departing Milan, we arrived in Turin "Torino", Italy to meet up with 4 of the 6 friends we would be biking with over the next week. The other 2 would meet up with us in France where our cycling adventures would begin.
We stayed 2 nights at the Marriott AC Hotel Torino: 1 night on our way to Briancon, France and 1 night on our way out of Briancon. AC Hotel Torino was a nicely appointed hotel, very reasonable in price and was conveniently located just 5 minutes walking distance from the Metro station.

Arrival trip to Turin: Turin is known for automobile manufacturing and upon the recommendation of our traveling companions, Kyle and I headed over to the National Automobile Museum for a couple of hours. I highly recommend visiting this museum if you ever find yourself in Turin. The museum was a so much fun and a lot of thought was put into the exhibits. This is probably one of the most unique and memorable museums I've ever been to. We loved every minute of it.

Exit trip to Turin: When we returned to Turin after our week of cyclin in France, we dropped Tony and Karen off at the airport, took a wild car ride through the city with Peter and Mary then checked back into the AC Hotel Torino. That night we cruised around the Piazza San Carlo, visited a Lindt Chocolate shop (YUM!) and enjoyed a closing dinner with our friends.

Our time in Briancon, France and our final trip to Turin has come to an end. Our cycling friends have flown out and it's back to just Kyle and I. We're boarding a train and are headed to our next adventure, a place that we're both longing to explore: Cinque Terre
